Rohingya refugees brought ashore after dramatic Indonesia rescue
After days adrift in open seas, more than 100 Rohingya refugees are now safe in Indonesia. Their damaged vessel was towed to shore in Aceh. Indonesia initially planned to turn them away but later backed down following international pressure. The United Nations has praised Indonesia’s response.
