Danish transport giant Maersk resumes operations in the Red Sea
Danish transport giant Maersk says it will start sending ships through the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden again. They're linked by the Bab al Mandab Strait. It's a vital sea route which leads to the Suez Canal. Several firms stopped using the route, when Yemen's Houthi fighters targeted tankers and container ships. The Houthis say it's a response to Israel's War on Gaza. Maersk says its decision to use the route again is because of protection offered by a US-led fleet.
