Historic Palestine village: Campaigners fight to stop Israeli redevelopment plans
A fight to preserve an abandoned Palestinian village called Lifta is entering a potentially critical phase. Tenders to start work on a redevelopment plan are due to be issued in the coming weeks. Campaigners opposing the move say it would destroy a rare historical and cultural monument.
