200,000 child in Lebanon are suffering from malnutrition: UN



A rise in global fuel and food prices as a result of the war in Ukraine is worsening Lebanon’s unprecedented economic crisis. Cases of malnutrition nearly unprecedented in this once middle-income country are on the rise. A recent survey by the United Nations on children under the age of five is causing concern UNICEF Lebanon released a report of “Nutrition in Times of Crisis” for February 2022. The UN says nine out of 10 children under the age of five in Lebanon are not getting the diversity of food they need.
